23 year old, Tamaryn Green became the new Miss South Africa on May 27, 2018, at Sun Arena, Pretoria compèred by Bonang Matheba. Tamaryn was among the 12 ladies chosen for the grand finale, each lady did her best to be in the first position. Just with the laid down procedures of every glamorous pageant, the ladies showed their modelling prowess on the runway and five were selected for the next stage of the show before they were narrowed down to two.

Two crowns were given on the night, the ultimate one went to Tamaryn Green who is a medical student, she bowled the judges with her ideas of championing a cause that will make women a better version of themselves. She takes over from Adè van Heerden and will represent South Africa at Miss Universe. However, Thulisa Keyi, 26, emerged the winner of the Miss World South Africa. Both queens will represent South Africa in the respective international pageants in the year.
As part of the package of winning Miss South Africa crown, Tamaryn gets R3-million, R-1 million cash prize, one-year fully-furnished apartment and a Nissan Qashqai.
