Africa – The moment has arrived again to know which of our stars got the nod from Black Entertainment Television Awards as part of the best on the continent.
Since BET started the Best International Act category giving way for musicians outside America to be part of this top notch award show, we must admit there has been progressive change in the quality of music from our stars who set their eyes on getting nomination for the year under discussion.
The moment is here again and 8 out of the top music superstars will go head to head for the chance to win in that category which also serve as a boaster and in a way opens the door for more opportunities like collaboration deals, record and distribution/marketing deals and exposure.
To some extent we can say the list is quite what it has to be because casting our eyes across the continent though we can see more talents but these are definitely the ones that cut for the award.
AKA, Wodumo and Nasty C were picked from South Africa, well – AKA needs no introduction, he has been there and seen it all when it comes to records that break records. Nasty C has been such a revelation on the continent same as Babes Wodumo.
The four from Nigeria include Wizkid, Davido and last year’s Chart toppers on the continent, Tekno and Mr. Eazi who have shown they are gifted with such superb qualities.
Ghana was not that lucky but was saved by the country’s top young dancehall heavyweight, Stonebwoy. This young lad has taken dance hall music flavored with afro-pop from Africa to next level.
See the list of the 8 below, What do you think? A comment will be appreciated.
