Finally, we get a clear understanding of the meaning of the song ‘49-99‘ by Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Tiwa Savage.
Tiwa hasn’t only in New York for the fashion season, it was business alongside the fun in the Big Apple. After attending selected fashion shows, the singer granted interviews on major platforms to promote the new single releases under Universal Music Group.
49-99 was premiered at Martell Mixer Meeting where she was introduced to the guests and also she broke down the new song. She revealed it was a popular phrase from legendary Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Fela Kuti stating 49-sitting, 99-standing mainly in public transport.
