The hashtag that went viral in a number of days was created just under a week ago and now has over 2,000 followers.

The hashtag #UkBlackOwnedBusinesses was created as a platform to promote under represented UK businesses created by black people. The hashtag started trending on twitter with users selecting and promoting businesses that deserve the recognition. People then started sharing businesses on twitter via the hashtag itself.

The platform was quickly featured on Buzz Feed, where they showed screenshots of twitter users expressing how beneficial this platform is and will become. The two professionals from London believe that Black businesses are under-represented which is a result on missed consumers not even knowing that a beneficial business even exists.
