Right after the fashion season for the first quarter of the years comes the biggest gathering and celebration of the films by industry enthusiasts in the world in Cannes, France.
Africa has had major wins this year with the acceptance of the Kenyan film Rafiki. The film didn’t really get the kind of reception the makers envisage for it as it received a ban in Kenya where it was shot. The 2018 Cannes Film Festival kicked off on May 8 and will end on May 19.
