International recording artist, songwriter and creative, Tonye has just launched a brand new website, as well as her new image for the New Year. The new website now live, will include videos, new images; a platform to connect with fans and media.t

The website, which features images shot by the award winning and renowned fashion photographer Shamayim (Shaw-mah’-yim) in New York City, is engaging and user friendly. Once on, viewers are immediately welcome to listen to all her singles for free—including her first hit which put Tonye on the map in 2012, ‘Were Ni Yen’.


It is now easier than ever for fans and #TeamTonye to stay connected with a page dedicated to upcoming events, meetups and videos of interviews and media features all year round. The website serves as a portal to also engage with Tonye across all social media platforms and for fans to read her adventure blog weekly.



Born in England, Tonyé spent most of her childhood and adult years in Paris, Nigeria, and Washington, DC. Tonye’s formal educational background is in International Business & Fashion Merchandising and her resume includes work for two major financial firms: UBS Financial and Deloitte. Tonye ultimately took a leap of faith in 2009 to explore and pursue her love for music.t3

t4In 2010, her emotional accapella titled “What About Us,” captured the hearts of many, and was used for the Nigerian Youth Presidential debate in 2011. The opportunity emerged as a new beginning for Tonyé; as it allowed her to fully immerse herself into recording her own music. Her first two singles ‘Were Ni Yen’ and ‘Wait For Me’ (a Cover of the classic Sunny Ade and Onyeka Onwenu hit song) were a success. Tonye is set to take over the African music industry with her ultra-sensational, sultry vocals and lyrics.
