That’s right! Parisian brand Balmain has opened a store in London‘s South Audley Street. The two-storey boutique, designed by architect Joseph Dirand, emanates elegance, combining Victorian finesse with modern swag. Have a look at the new store and the beauties that came to celebrate its opening, all draped in Balmain of course.
Creative director, Oliver Rousteing had this to say about the boutique’s architectural design:
The store in Paris is really rich French, Haussmann, baroque… Here, we have kept the DNA with the quality and richness of that couture feeling, but we wanted it to feel more cosy and intimate because I think that is London, this warm intimacy belongs to London more than Paris… Paris is all this marble, like you are coming to a castle, whereas here it is a like a little chic glamour house.
