How was the news broken to the public? Social media and the Red Carpet, how else? At yesterday Billboard Music Award, Balmain’s creative director Oliver Rousteing took to the red carpet with the beautiful Jourdan Dunn and Kendall Jenner on each arm. All three where dresses in the new Balmain and H&M collaboration, revealing the first pieces of the collection. Then on social media, H&M and Balmain invited their fans to join a movement of togetherness with: #HMBalmaination. Original right!
“I want to talk to my generation: this is my main aim as a designer. H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain get a piece of the dream and create a global #HMBalmaination: a movement of togetherness, fuelled on a hashtag. The collaboration felt extremely natural to me: H&M is a brand that everybody connects to. It calls for unity, and I am all for it.”
I cannot wait to see the rest of the collection which is set to launch on November 5th 2015!
