African women are embracing their roots, doing the big chop of the straightened and permed hair to allow the natural to grow out. Today, we see things spiced up in the natural hair world –Colour!
From coloured blondes and reds to the daring blues and purples, #teamnatural ladies are rocking their hair in different colourful shades other than black. I may be wrong on what this portrays but then does colouring lose the essence of the traditional African natural hair? That notwithstanding, are the chemicals harmless to the hair texture, in that, which products are naturally appropriate for colouring?
Hair colouring looks amazingly daring, beautiful, and hold so much life in them. Primary question is, when the chemicals (dye) enter the coils, does it cease to be natural?
