Across the globe, mothers have been celebrated and honoured in remarkable ways, special ways. There are other days set aside to commemorate historic events, some religious, others political, even Fathers’ Day, but nothing like Mothers’ Day. Who asks when is Mothers’ Day?? It is that special, and the noise is worth it.

Photographers uploaded themes of womanhood and motherhood throughout last week to a few hours back, designers and stylists are pairing mothers and their children with matching outfits, again, yes, it is that special.

To the mothers, new mothers, potential mothers, expecting mothers, you possess some supernatural awesomeness to which we appreciate and honour. It is something we cannot fathom, it’s natural and beautiful when done right and appropriately; in the end, it shows in the fruit of your labour.

Motherhood is not necessarily about child bearing. It is a life of submission, commitment, sacrifice and all there is in love!

I’d wanted to go home to my mother to celebrate Mothers’ Day with her, but she said to me, “I know you love me and would want to come, but get well first, I’m still here for you”. It is a kind of love imprinted naturally, and we are honoured to have celebrated all mothers. You rock!
