Hurray for beautiful black women all over the UK. From the 1st of April, black women will be able to buy skin coloured tights from Fenwick Bond Street.
The up market departmental store has announced that it has introduced tights from Nubian Skin, a line of hosiery and lingerie founded by Ade Hassan specifically designed for women of colour. The tights will be stocked in the newly launched ‘Leg Room‘ in the store.
Hassan told top beauty blogger Natalie Clue of Beauty Pulse London that ‘people had been really supportive of the tights’.
“A lot of women have expressed their desire to touch and feel the product, so I’m incredibly excited about this, and Fenwick Bond Street is such an incredible store to be in”, she said.
Nubian Skin also tweeted about the exciting launch to alert customers who’ve been waiting for quite some time to be able to get their hands on skin coloured tights for black women.

The inability of black women to buy skin coloured tights received huge publicity during last year’s BBC Apprentice when branding expert and Apprentice Hopeful Bianca Miller put forward the idea for investment to Lord Sugar. Now the dream has finally become a reality it seems.
Well done to the Nubian Skin team!
